Hi! My name is Brigette Davidovici-Dean, your friendly neighborhood hair witch!
And clearly, I love to change & play with my hair! My personal hair journey is also the beginning of how I started brewing Witch i Love Your Hair. Our Hair Magic helps my hair thrive so I can make good (and bad) hair decisions. I can have fun, dye, bleach, cut, or shave an undercut, because I know I have some Magic to help it grow back fast and healthy…until I do it all over again.
I first started making this Hair Magic for myself, utilizing what I’ve learned growing up. I’ve always loved stories of witches connected to the moon and nature, crafting natural remedies, constantly evolving into better version of themselves. I devoured old books on everything about it.
My Romanian and Greek family traditions also inspired me deeply throughout life — I was always taught that oils can fix anything. I started learning why essential oils and flowers have been revered for so long as gifts from the Earth. There are countless studies on how powerful scent is to our brain chemistry, particularly for concentrated scents like essential oils, and oils themselves are also occlusives, which means they lock in moisture. They are truly powerhouses of benefits for our hair, skin and even our nervous systems.
I loved mixing different potions of oils together for myself until I ultimately refined a Hair Magic recipe that made my hair and skin the happiest, and smelled like a lavender spa day. I placed quartz crystal chips inside the bottle to help shake the magic up, without harsh dilution chemicals.
I bottled up little versions of this potion for all my close friends whenever they would ask. Eventually I saw that my Magic worked for everyone! Everyone in my life, with all different types of hair — even my husband’s beard — everyone loved the pure, lightweight Magic, with benefits for both hair and skin.
And I was making a lot of bottles!
I designed the first official bottle label and our virtual shop at the urging of my husband and our shared obsession with Shark Tank. I can’t believe how many people have enjoyed the Magic with us now, almost seven years later! What started off as just me, making magic and shipping out of my living room, has now grown into my family’s whole world! Our magical company is now run by myself, my husband Zack, and our 2 dog children, Bama and Dwight.
In 2018, we relocated to Asheville and expanded our business to a local manufacturer. There’s now an entire team of awesome humans helping us create more Magic than I ever could by hand alone! My hands appreciate them more than I could ever say.
And we appreciate you!! We care about your hair, but we also care about your nervous system, your life, and YOU as an entire person having a human experience. We love to share about our life, connect with you, and even create magical music and books for you!
We truly just want to share all the things we love with you - potions, family love, a lot of sleeping dog videos, very loud drums, astrology, our favorite Office quotes, and ALLLLLLL the existential thoughts.
